- Hi Everyone! I am a 22 year old student studying to become a Nutritionist. Being Healthy is extremely important to me and those around me. I believe having a healthy mind, body and soul allows you to enjoy life more. Finding those things that truely mean the most in life will help you become a more thankful, appreciative individual under the most unfortunate circumstances. By accomplishing something positive and new everyday, you are certain to improve your lifestyle in a positive, beneficial way. I would love to be a Nutritional Counselor to those who are suffering from eating disorders and have a negative self image about themselves.

Fun ways to Exercise
Many people feel that exercising is boring, hard or time consuming! On many occasions, we are burning calories and we don't even realize it. Simply Cleaning your house such as vacuming, mopping, or ironing burns calories. The only problem is, your body is burning calories from your readily available Carbohydrate stores that are in your muscles...Not Fat stores. In order to burn fat, your body must increase your heart rate for up to 10 minutes which allows your body to switch to the Aerobic system which burns calories from your Fat stores. Finding a fun way to increase your heart rate might be riding your bike with your kids around the block, or trying out a new dance video such as ZUMBA! Try being creative with your exercise and remember to keep your heart rate up for atleast 20 minutes so you can burn off some of your fat!! Afterwards, have a fruit salad so you can regain some of your energy...Fruit is a simple Carb which produces energy faster than complex carbs such as Potatoes. Does anyone have any questions for me??

I would like to know how many of you count your calories on everything you eat??
There are days were I feel more motivated on trying to make sure I do not eat over my Recommended Energy requirements. Some days I endulge and over eat because I am bored or I really just don't care for some reason. I feel as if I will make it up by working out extra hard that evening or I'll promise myself that I will eat better tomorrow.
